With all the events this weekend commemorating the Somme you can get help from the Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society.*
To day the society will have a help desk to assist with research into soldiers who served in during the Great War as part of the extensive Somme 100 Commemoration at Heaton Park.
They will be pleased to assist and advise on how to research a serviceman from the Great War.
